The Deacons, with the Pastor, consider and formulate plans for the constant effort and progress of the Church in all things pertaining to the saving of souls, the development of Christians, and the extension and growth of the Kingdom of God. The Deacons maintain a Deacon-led spiritual growth program so as to maintain regular spiritual contact with the entire membership through the Deacon Family Plan program.
A Deaconess serves the Lord by performing acts of charity and hospitality and assistance for those in the Church, particularly women, and assisting in the work of visitation and ministry to the sick and needy and others on a case by case basis. They assist the Pastor and Deacons and their duties of the administration of (1) the Ordinance of Baptism, and (2) the Ordinance of the Lord’s Supper.
Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) Ministry
The purpose of the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) Ministry is to inform, inspire, and challenge Christian women to understand and to be actively involved in the Great Commission from God to influence the world for Christ (reference Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15). All women of the church are invited to participate in the WMU Ministry.
Baptist Men’s Ministry
The Baptist Men’s Ministry strives to create an environment in which men and boys will sense and respond to God’s call for salvation and service, to become Acts 1:8 Christians, honor the Great Commission and Commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ through the Church and their personal lives. All men of the church are invited to participate in the Baptist Men’s Ministry.
The Music Ministry consists of a Choir as well as Praise Team which leads the congregation in worship of God through music and song.
Children’s Church is available for children ages 6 to 10 during the Sunday morning worship service. During Children’s Church, the youth are introduced to Scripture from the Holy Bible, reading Bible stories, doing Biblical crafts and sharing life’s experiences.
The Nursery is available for children ages newborn to 5 years old. Children are introduced to Bible stories from books and videos, and they have access to age appropriate toys. Cribs are available for babies and children who need naps.
The Hostess Ministry organizes, plan and support meals for special occasions of the church to include repast meals for church member families who have lost a loved on. They work closely with the pastor to provide needed assistance for each repast meal, meeting with the families, when necessary.
